Matte powder AT3600 is a silica matte powder produced by gas-phase method with a surface treated with polydimethylsilane. The difference between gas-phase silica and wet process silica lies in their adsorption of water and chemical bonding

The drying loss (105 ℃ for 2 hours) and ignition loss (1000 ℃ for 2 hours) of gas-phase silica are relatively low. In PU systems and varnishes, these are not simultaneously correlated with performance.

Matte powder AT3600 is a significant and transparent matting powder, which is easily dispersed in coatings, paints, and inks.

Compared with untreated gas-phase silica matting powder, the coating with matting powder AT3600 has high abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, and a good hand feel. This product is specifically designed for low gloss radiation cured coatings.

Matte powder AT3600 usage and dosage:

Silica based matting powder is easy to disperse and can be added at any stage of the production process, either alone or together with pigments and other additives.

Disperse with a high-speed disperser, first add an appropriate amount of matting powder to the coating, start stirring slowly, then increase to an appropriate speed (line speed between 10-20m/s, depending on the viscosity of the system), stir for 10-20 minutes, and obtain a uniform dispersed phase without coarse particles. Cannot be ground, otherwise it will affect its extinction efficiency.
