
1. Introduction:
Superchlon CP622 is based on chlorinated polypropylene resin and is used as a primer for polypropylene materials. Polypropylene plastic has low weight, low cost, and excellent physical properties, chemical resistance, and heat resistance, making it widely used. However, its crystal structure and non-polar surface make adhesion difficult, limiting its application. Superchlon CP622 can solve this problem because it has excellent adhesion to polypropylene plastics and surface coatings made of polyurethane, acrylic, amino, epoxy, or alkyd resins. Superchlon CP622 is commonly used as an adhesion promoter in polyolefin automotive bumper coatings. In addition, Superchlon CP622 can also establish structural adhesion between polypropylene and other materials such as aluminum foil, fiber paper, polyester, and other plastics.

4. Compatibility:
Superchlon CP622 mixed with other resins can enhance the adhesion between the primer and topcoat. Compared with traditional low chlorinated polyolefin resins, Superchlon CP622 has been improved to enhance its adhesion to other resins. The following is the compatibility data of Superchlon CP622 and other resins. Please note that if the proportion of other resins mixed is too high, it will reduce the adhesion to the polypropylene substrate. It is recommended that the proportion of other resins mixed should not exceed 30% by weight.

5. SUPERCHLON CP622's heat sealing strength for various membranes:
Superchlon CP622 is coated onto pre treated polypropylene film, left at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, heat sealed with various films, and tested for peel strength.
Experimental conditions:
-Heat sealing conditions: 100 ℃, 1kg/cm2, 1 sec
-Peel test: 15mm , 180 °, 50mm/minute
-Coating amount: 3g/㎡ (dry)
