Degussa fumed silica A200 exhibits chemical inertness towards the substrate, active ingredients, and additives. It has good compatibility with many active ingredients commonly used in vitamins, hormones, fluorides, antibiotics, enzyme preparations, and cosmetics.

Due to its porous nature, large specific surface area, small particle size, and high structural properties, Degussa fumed silica A200 exhibits significant dispersibility in raw rubber. Filling in rubber can demonstrate high reinforcement, and after A200 reinforcement, the strength of silicone rubber can be increased by up to 40 times.

Degussa fumed silica A200 can significantly increase the flowability and storage stability of powder materials that are prone to clumping. Poor liquidity can be caused by various reasons, with the most common being moisture and grease on the surface of the product. Coating the particle surface of the product with hydrophilic fumed silica A200 allows the surface moisture to be absorbed, creating gaps between particles and effectively preventing product clumping.

Degussa fumed silica A200 can be used in coatings and inks to perform the following important functions. In liquids, rheological control and sedimentation prevention; In powder, it flows naturally from oil to prevent clumping and fluidization. It can be used in industries such as silicone rubber, coatings, inks, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc. It is suitable for various paint layers (adhesives, coatings, inks, powder coatings) to improve pigment stability, pigment dispersion, film adhesion, corrosion resistance, waterproofing, and bubble prevention, especially for silicone rubber, polyester resin, coating and ink thixotropes, and anti settling agents for coloring systems.

Usage and dosage:

Degussa fumed silica A200 needs to be added and used after sufficient dispersion. In most coatings and inks, it is recommended to add 1% to 2% of the total amount. For adhesives, sealants, and some personal care applications, it is recommended to add 4% to 8% of the total amount. The most suitable addition amount can be established through continuous testing and correction.
